About InkDesign

What InkDesign is

InkDesign helps you turn a tattoo idea into something you can show an artist. Our free tools turn rough ideas into clear design prompts and set names, dates and short phrases in real, licensed tattoo fonts. With an account, the AI tattoo generator turns your idea into two concept designs, with optional HD and stencil exports.

What it is not

Everything you make here is a reference for a conversation with a licensed tattoo artist, even the stencil export. A good artist will adapt line weight, size and placement to your skin and body, and will check that small details and lettering hold up over the years.

How we work

• Fonts are real fonts. Lettering is drawn by your browser from open-licensed font files, so the spelling you type is exactly the spelling you get. We list every font's license.
• No scraped artwork. We do not copy designs from Pinterest, Instagram or tattoo artists. Example images we publish are original and recorded with their source.
• Plain limits. If a tool can't do something yet, the page says so.
